Suggest a better descriptionPreheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 13- by 9-inch baking dish.
Combine 1/2 cup butter, brown sugar, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in bowl of electric mixer fitted with paddle attachment. Mix on medium speed until mixture resembles damp sand.
In a separate bowl, whisk together sour cream, apple sauce, vanilla, bourbon, and eggs.
With mixer on medium speed, gradually add liquid ingredients. Increase speed to high and beat for 30 seconds. Stop mixer, scrape down sides of bowl and add apples. Mix on low speed just until well combined. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
To make the topping, in a bowl, combine the sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, and 1/2 cup butter, and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle the topping over the batter and bake until golden brown and set, 35 to 40 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.
To make the glaze, in a bowl, combine the sugar, milk, and bourbon and mix until smooth. Drizzle the cake with the glaze and let harden.
