Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly butter an 8-inch square baking pan.
Peel, core and slice the apples. Combine with zest, juice and sugar. Pour mixture into the pan.
Make the topping by combining the remainder of the ingredients in the bowl of an electric mixer. With the mixer on low speed, mix until butter is the size of peas and the mixture is crumbly. Scatter mixture evenly over the apples.
Bake for about 40 minutes or until the top is brown and the apple mixure is bubbly.
