Preheat oven to 450?. Place apples in pie shell. Mix filling sugar and spices and sprinkle over apples. If apples are not tart, add 1 tsp lemon juice. Mix all topping ingredients until crumbly and sprinkle over filling.
Bake at 450? for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350? and bake another 40 minutes or until apples are tender.
A can of apples (not pie mix) may be substituted for fresh apples.
