Mom’s pie filling
Just about 6 or 7 large apples, 2/3 to 3/4 c sugar, 1 tablespoon cinnamon and about 2 tablespoons of flour for thickener. Before I put top crust on, I put about 2 tablespoons of butter in small chunks dotted around the filling. Bake at 400 for about 45 mins ( stick knife in center to be sure apples are soft)
