This pie has no top crust common to apple pies. The butter/flour/sugar crumbs "dusted" over the big pile of apples becomes the crust as this delicious pie bakes in a common grocery bag secured with a wooden clothespin.
Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tbsp flour with cinnamon. Toss this mixture with prepared apples and pile high in an unbaked pie shell. cut the butter into the remaining sugar and flour to form crumbs. Cover the top of the pie with the crumbs. Please the pie in a brown paper grocery bag and seal with a wooden clothespin. Please in an oven pre-heated to 350 degrees and bake for 1-1/2 hours. CAUTION: Be sure that the bag doesn't touch the top heating elements in the oven.
