Easy Apple pie. This pie is easy to make and turns out fantastic every time. I use "Fireside Apples" because I grow them in the back yard, but other apples will work just as well.
Slice apples, place in microwave safe dish and microwave until they start to soften. In another bowl mix dry ingredients. Place a few tbsp of this mix into the crust, then a layer of apples, then more mix. Repeat this until all the apples are at least an inch and a half above the crust (the apples will cook down). Place second crust over the top and slit with knife to allow steam to escape. Place tinfoil over the top of the pie. Cook the pie at 425 F for 10 minutes, remove the tinfoil, then turn the heat down and cook at 375 F for another 45 minutes to 1 hour. Remove when the apples are soft! Remove the pie to cool!
