Thanksgiving apple pie, lattice and regular crusts
Prepare pie crust. Peel and slice apples; sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon & nutmeg; pour over sliced apples, let sit for about 10 minutes while rolling crust. Pour apples into dish, cut butter into small pieces, sprinkle over top of apples. Beat egg and milk to make egg wash, lightly brush over top crust; sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 15 minutes at 425, turn down to 375 for 40-45 mins; add pie shield if necessary. Cool completely.
