Mix sugar, flour and spices in a bowl with a tight lid. Put apples into sugar mixture. Place lid on top and shake good to coat all apples. Put in pie crust. Dot with butter. Put top crsut on. Place pie on cookie sheet or a piece of foil to catch drips. Bake 1 hour at 400 degrees.
