Dissolve yeast in water. Add 1 tlb sugar, scalded milk and butter. Add 1/2 c sugar, and 1 tsp salt. Once the yeast starts to work, add eggs and mix in flour. Knead then let rise til double.
Cook apples with cinnamon until tender. Punch down dough and roll out into 1/4" thick. cut into rounds 4-5" in diameter. Place apples in center and seal dough around eduges. Put onto cookie sheet. Let rise until double. Bake 10 minutes at 350.
When cool, glaze with butter, powder sugar and vanilla.
