A fall favorite!
• Put an inch to 2 inches of water in the bottom of a large pan.
• Peel, core and cut apples into chunks and add to kettle. I watch it very closely until water boils and then turn it down to simmer and keep checking back to turn apples to get the ones on the top to the bottom until all the apples are done.
• I then add a cinnamon to the apples and sugar to taste. Teas or two on cinnamon to start. It takes at least 1 1/2 to 2 cups sugar depending on the apples. Keep tasting until they are sweet enough.
• I then take a hand mixer and beat until all the lumps are gone. Put in plastic containers, cool and then freeze.
