Suggest a better descriptionSaute garlic and sofrito in olive oil in a pot for about 1 min. Stir in salt, pepper, cumin, and oregano. Add beans and mix well. Add tomato sauce and beer or broth, and mix. Simmer 5 min, then add vinegar and stir. Add rice and mix well. Cook until all is absorbed, about 15 min. Let sit 15 min. before serving.
variations/accompaniments: chopped fresh peppers, cilantro, Mojo sauce.
