Combie eggs, milk vanilla, sugar, cinnamon and salt in a flat, square baking pan.
Lay your slices of bread in the egg mixture.
Preheat a skillet and add the tblspoon of butter. Once bubbling turn down to med/low.
Turn the bread slices over to absorb the remaining egg mixture and place in hot skillet.
Cook on both sides until nice golden brown in color.
Serve hot with favorite toppings. I love jam or fresh fruit.
