After cake has been allowed to stale, cream butter and sugar together until light. Add bourbon and cream and mix until smooth and set in a pan of warm water, stirring occasionally, to maintain consistency. Place ground pecans and crushed vanilla wafers together in another bowl. Dip pieces of cake (held with a skewer) first into nog mix and then into nut mix. Lay out on waxed paper until firm (~ 1 Hour). Then store in a cool place, not in fridge, in tightly sealed container for several weeks. May be frozen after that.
