1. Prepare asparagus, cut into 2 inches pieces.
2. Bring 3 - 4 quarts of water to a boil. Add fettuccini and cook four about 5 minutes.
3. Add asparagus to fettuccini and cook an additional 4 - 5 minutes.
4. Drain; add to bowl with olive oil and salt and pepper to taste. Toss to combine.
