These are squares rolled in fruit sugar.
Cream together butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Add 1 cup flour and mix well. Pat into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 pan. Bake in oven at 375? for 12 minutes. Mix remaining ingredients: 1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup flour, salt, vanilla, eggs, nuts and coconut. Spread the remaining mixed ingredients evenly over baked mixture in pan. Bake 20 minutes longer.
Cut into bars while warm and roll in fruit sugar. Cool and store in an airtight container.
