Bake brownies according to directions on box.
Melt butter on medium heat, add cocoa, and stir until smooth. Add salt and confectioner's sugar. Add milk gradually until desired consistency is reached. Pour icing on brownies. (Note: if the icing sits out too long it's hard to spread). Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
