Sweet and salty caramel crunch popcorn. Yum!
Bring all ingredients except the soda, cashews, and popcorn to a rolling boil mixing well and stirring occasionally. Continue to boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add soda. Stir in quickly. Place popcorn into a large roasting pan and pour mixture onto popped corn, mixing well.
Put corn on two large flat pans and place in a 225? oven for 1 hour, stirring 2-3 times. When cool, store in an airtight container. Keeps well.
(For the popcorn, make 2 batches of 1/2 C. of unpopped popcorn each batch)
