Cross between a cookie and a brownie.
Preheat oven to 400F.
Melt chocolate and butter over low heat. Beat sugar, eggs and vanilla until light, then beat in chocolate mixture. Stir in flour and salt; then stir in 1 cup walnuts. Spread in greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Sprinkle with remaining nuts. Bake for 15 – 17 minutes. Cool slightly and cut into squares.
