1. Preheat oven to 375. Wrap each slice of bacon around each asparagus spear.
2. Place the bacon wrapped asparagus on a wax paper. Sprinkle with pepper.
3. Place the smoked salmon fillets on a backing sheet. Top with minced shallots and two bacon wrapped asparagus spears per salmon fillet. Don't overlap the spears.
4. Bake in the oven for 17 minutes. Transfer to a plate. Serve.
