Preheat over to 375.
Cut the bacon slices in half lengthwise. Fry to bacon over medium high heat for 3 min to partially cook. Remove to a paper-towel lined plate to drain. Grease a 9x13 baking dish, or use a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Melt the butter in a small bowl. Stir in garlic, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Set half of the butter-garlic mixture aside.
Dip each scallop in the melted butter mixture. Wrap a strip of bacon around each scallop; secure with toothpick (all the way thru the scallop). Arrange the wrapped scallops on the greased baking dish.
Bake on the middle rack for around 15 minutes, or until scallops reach an internal temp of 145 and bacon is crisp. Pleace scallops in large bowl and pour remaining butter mixture over the scallops; toss gently to coat. Refrigerate any leftovers.
