In looking for another use for apples besides apple crisp, a friend's mother shared this with me.
Core the apples, but leave a little at the bottom to hold in all the "goodies". Fill in the empty space with mixture of brown sugar, dash of cinnamon and raisins. Place a small pat of butter on top. In a 9x9 pan, pour 1/2 c. water, then place the apples in the pan and bake at 375 degrees (F) for 35-40 minutes.
