An easy chicken parmesan recipe.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Place chicken in a heavy-duty freezer bag and flatten with a meat mallet to 1/4-inch thickness.
In a bowl, blend the olive oil and garlic.
In a separate bowl, mix the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, basil, and pepper.
Dip each chicken breast in the oil mixture, then in the bread crumb mixture.
Arrange the coated chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
Bake 25 minutes in the preheated oven, testing chicken for doneness.
Top each chicken breast with a good amount of spicy marinara sauce and a slice of provolone cheese.
Return to oven for 5 minutes or enough time to melt the cheese.
Serve on top of spaghetti and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley.
Great family recipe - kids can have plain spaghetti with a less spicy sauce and the adults can enjoy the full meal.
