Nice delicate custard - very easy.
In a mixing bowl combine eggs, sugar, vanilla and milk. Mix well. Pour into a lightly buttered 1 - 1½ litre ovenproof dish that will fit in the slow cooker. Sprinkle with the nutmeg.
Place a rack or a ring of foil in the slow cooker then add 1½ - 2 cups of hot water.
Cover the ovenproof dish with foil and place on the rack in the slow cooker.
Cover and cook on high for 2½ - 3 hours, or until set.
