Easy and a fan favourite.
Brown ground beef, onion and garlic: add tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer 1 hour. Combine egg, cottage cheese and 1 teaspoon of salt: mix well. Arrange alternate layers in 3 quart baking dish of half the noodles then half the meat sauce, half the cottage cheese, halt the mozzarella cheese and half the Parmesan cheese. Repeat the layer. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
