This is a great Berry Salad to serve as a desert with ice cream or fresh whip cream
Wash strawberries and remove the stems. Then slice them stir in the sugar, salt and pepper.
If you are using expensive balsamic vinegar only reduce the red wine. I use the Whole foods 360 brand. In a small sauce pan reduce the vinegar and wine with the cinnamon stick and lemon zest. Add the mixture to the berries and refrigerate for at least an hour to let the strawberries macerate.
Serve with ice cream, whip cream etc. You can use other berries in addition to the strawberries, I like blue berries in particular. You can also add Vanilla if you like.
