Nan's recipe
Preheat oven to 375 degree Fahrenheit.
Beat first 5 ingredients until smooth and creamy.
Mix together next 3 ingredients in a separate bowl or large measuring cup.
Add dry mixture in small batches to wet mixture. Mixture will become to stiff to mix with mixer, it's easiest to hand mix it with a spatula.
When the dry and met ingredients are well mixed, add the mashed bananas, and continue mixing by hand until well mixed.
Afterwards incorporate the chocolate chips by hand until well distributed.
Distribute the mixture into greased muffin tins and bake for 10 to 16 minutes depending on the size of the muffins and the strength of your oven. The muffins should still look slightly uncooked on the top, they will continue to cook once removed from the oven.
Remove the muffins from the tin and set on a rack to cool.
Repeat until all the muffin dough is used. Enjoy!
