Wonderfully flavoured banana creme pie.
Separate eggs into two separate bowls.
In a double boiler add first four ingredients. Add cold wear, eggs yowls, butter and vanilla - gradually whisk in hot water.
Cook for 10 minutes after mixture thickens.
Place banans in baked pieshell and then pour in custard. Beat egg whites and sugar add to top of the pie making soft peaks. Broil until lightly brown.
Chill and serve.
