Stir the oats into the milk in a med sized bowl, and let them soak for 10 min.
Stir in the oil, honey, eggs, and mashed banana, mixing well.
In another bowl, stir together the flours, baking powder, and salt.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry, stirring just until combined. Fold in the dates.
Spoon into muffin cups, bake for 18-20 min, until golden. Let muffins cool for a few min before removing them from the pan.
