Grease and flour a 4.5"x8" loaf pan.
In a medium mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and baking soda.
In another medium mixing bowl, beat the sugar, eggs and butter until fluffy. Slowly beat in the bananas and yogurt. Add the flour mixture and mix just until blended. Do not over mix or the cake will be tough.
Spoon the batter into the prepared pan and bake on the middle shelf of the oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
Cool the cake in the pan on a wire rack for 5 minutes, then invert the pan onto the rack and let cool completely. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and let stand overnight to mellow the flavors.
