1. In a medium bowl, Pour milk into bowl add pudding, vanilla extract
2. Mix until smooth about 2 minutes.
3. Gently fold in whipped topping.
4. Spread evenly over cake.
If you would like it sweeter you can add a 1/4 cup of powdered sugar, before adding Cool Whip
