Simple bread recipe. Better than anything you can buy at the store.

Add water, sugar, salt, shortening, and yeast to stand mixer and mix to combine. Add flour 1 cup at a time until dough is correct consistency. Transfer dough to greased bowl and cover for 1 hour, Dough should double in size. Place dough on cutting board and knead until no air pockets remain, divide dough in half. Place each dough half into 5x9" loaf pan, optionally brush tops lightly with butter. Cover and allow to rise 45-60 min. Move oven racks to a lower position so tops of pan are in the middle of the oven. Pre heat oven to 425*F. Bake 25-30 minutes until tops are golden brown. Transfer to wire rack to cool. While still hot, brush tops with butter if desired.
