Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease 13 X 9 pan. Blend butter and sugar in a mixing bowl with electric mixer.
Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly.
Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Blend well with electric mixer.
Using a spoon, stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Pour batter into pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool. Cut into squares and serve.
