Suggest a better descriptionSauté the onions, carrots, and celery until soft (add salt). Add the garlic and cook until soft.
Put in bottom of 2 quart casserole dish.
Brown the beef (add salt). Add the demi-glace and drained tomatoes and cook until reduced and almost dry.
Put beef mixture in casserole with vegetables. Add lentils and stir to combine.
Mash the sweet potatoes (use a little milk if necessary) and spoon on top of beef mixture.
Warm in 350 degree oven until hot (depends on the temperature of casserole when going in oven 1/2 -1 hours)
