Barbecue Beef Roast

Brown both sides of roast on top of stove in small amount of butter and oil, salt & pepper.
Place browned roast in Dutch oven or large piece of heavy duty foil. Place sliced onion on top of roast.
Slice carrots diagonally into 1” slices and place on top of onion.
Pour sauce over all.
If using foil, carefully wrap around meat and seal, being careful not to stop the foul.
Bake at 350 for about 4 hours until fork tender.
