Peel the onion and slice into 2 cm thickness and let it soak in ice water for 10-15 minutes. In a large bowl mix 1 cup flour, baking powder , salt and pepper with a whisk. Add beer and Cold water and mix it until it’s smooth. Take a cup of flour in a separate plate. On a frying pan heat the oil. Take the onions out of the water and pat them dry using a clean cloth. Dunk each ring into the plate of flour and then place it in the batter and coat them inside out and put it in the hot oil. Wait until the batter is golden, then flip.
Top it off with your favorite sauce and enjoy!
