A whole chicken is seasoned and slowly cooked on the grill. This is a bit unorthodox, but the end result is moist, flavorful, and amazing. All you'll need is some chicken, butter, beer, and seasonings.
Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-low heat (250 to 350 F)
In a small skillet, melt butter. Mix in garlic salt, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Pour out and discard (or enjoy) half of beer, leaving remainder in can. Pour half of butter mixture into beer can. Set can on a disposable baking sheet, (or use something sturdier). Set chicken on can, inserting can into cavity of chicken. Baste chicken with remaining butter mixture.
Set baking sheet with beer and chicken on grill. Cook, covered, over medium-low heat 2 to 2.5 hours, or until internal temperature of chicken reaches 180 F. Carefully remove chicken from can, transfer to a cutting board, and cut into 8 pieces.
