Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Whisk flour, salt, baking powder, and 1/2 cup sugar together.
Grate butter into mixture, stirring occasionally while grating to coat the curls.
Add vanilla extract and egg yolks, mix for a couple of minutes with a fork until the wet ingredients are absorbed.
Add apple cider vinegar and mix for about 30 seconds.
Rub mixture between fingers until clumpy. Can add a small amount of water if refuses to clump.
Mix berries, lemon juice, lemon zest, 1/4 cup sugar, and cayenne pepper. Mix until berries are coated.
Press half the crumble mixture into the bottom of a baking dish.
Layer on berries.
Sprinkle some of the crumble mixture around the top of the berries.
With remaining crumble mixture, use hand to clump into various sizes and spread it on top.
Bake for 45 minutes or until browned and bubbly.
Cool to just warm or room temperature before serving.
Note: you can saute about a half cup of pecan pieces in a half tablespoon of butter for a few minutes and put on top of about 10 minutes before done.
