This recipe can be used in any recipe calling for "Bisquick Mix."
Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt three times into a large mixing bowl.
Cut in the shortening (or lard) with a pastry blender or fork until the mixture is the consistency of breadcrumbs.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 months.
This recipe can be made with Self-Rising Flour as well. Just omit the salt and baking powder.
