Suggest a better descriptionIn large sauce pot or fry pan, heat oil on high. Once oil is hot, add onions, green peppers, and scallions. Stirring often, saute until veggies are translucent. Add garlic and jalapenos. Continue stirring until garlic is soft. Add black pepper, cumin, salt, and cilantro and stir to combine. Cook until cilantro has wilted. Stir in lime juice. Cook for another minute. Add drained black beans and stir to combine. Turn heat down to medium and cover. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring once or twice to ensure beans are not sticking. If they start to stick, turn heat down to low. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Cook for another 10 minutes.
