Heat olive oil on medium heat in deep skillet and sauté garlic and onion.
When onion is lightly browned add all remaining ingredients except blueberries and bring to simmer.
Simmer sauce for 10 minutes.
Add blueberries and simmer additional 5-10 minutes.
Transfer sauce to blender and let cool for several minutes then blend to desired consistency.
