Tasty and melt in your mouth tender.
Heat oil in a large nonstick fry pan on medium, when hot add the Y-Bone Steaks and sear steaks for 5minutes, turn, add the onoins and stir around while searing other side of steak for 5 minutes, add water and turn heat down to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes one side, then turn steaks and simmer for another 20 minutes (if becoming dry add more water). Mix the gravy powder with the 1/2 cup of water and add to the fry pan and stir until thickened.
You may need to cut around the edge of the steaks before cooking to prevent them from curling. Once steaks have been seared they can be put into a large casserole dish or crockpot and cooked. ( If you cant find Y-Bone Steak, try Blade or Rump Steak ).
