This is the bread I make every week. I usually turn one of the loaves into a jalapeno cheddar loaf by rolling the dough out and sprinkling it with cheese cubes and canned diced jalapenos. Just roll it up and pinch the ends. Stuff it in your loaf pan and bake as directed. So good!
Combine water, sugar, oil, and yeast. Let bubble for 3 minutes, then add salt and 5 cups flour. Mix well and add enough flour to make a soft dough. (It’s usually around 10-11 cups total.) Raise 1/2 hour in bowl.
For loaves:
Separate into four pieces and place in greased loaf pans and raise another 1/2 hour. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.
For jalapeño cheese loaves:
Separate into four pieces. Roll each piece into a square about 10x14ish. Sprinkle jalapeños and cheese (cubes or shredded) over surface. Roll up on long side (like cinnamon rolls) and seal up ends and long seam.
Raise another 1/2 hour. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. (May need to go longer to ensure inside is done.)
