1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. In a medium mixing bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and salt.
3. Cut in butter and peanut butter with a pastry blender until it resembles a coarse meal.
4. Mix in the egg.
5. Evenly press dough into an ungreased 10" X 15" baking pan.
6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until it takes on a golden-brown color and looks set. Remove from the oven and set aside.
CHOCOLATE SIDE:
7. Over low heat melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter stirring often, until smooth.
8. Gently stir in Rice Krispies.
BUTTERSCOTCH SIDE:
9. Repeat the procedure with the butterscotch chips, peanut butter, and cereal.
10. Spread chocolate mixture on 1/2 of the warm crust and then spread the butterscotch mixture on the other.
11. Press the toppings down firmly and do so while the bottom crust is warm so everything sticks together well.
12. Let cool for several hours for the bars to set before cutting
