The perfect Christmas morning breakfast. We always make these ahead and freeze them. They're such an easy, hassle-free breakfast that everybody loves (either this one or the spinach one we also make).
Best with my Mom's made-from-scratch crusts.
Brown the sausage. Saute the green onions. Combine beaten eggs with other ingredients, reserving some cheese to sprinkle on top. Pour into piecrust.
Bake at 375° about 35-40 minutes—until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
TIPS: To “oven set,” prick crust with a fork & pre-bake at 350°
until just dry to the touch. Great leftovers or freeze by the piece for an easy breakfast anytime!
