Easy to make comfort food
I serve it with scalloped potato or mashed
In a large bowl mix together ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, onion powder, garlic, seasond salt and Worcestershire sauce.
Form into 4 balls and flatten into patties about 1/2 inch thick.
Melt the lard in a large skillet over med. heat and brown patties.
Remove browned patties from pan and set aside.
Add onions to skillet and cook till soft.
Stir in flour, when onions are ready, scrapping any browned bits left from the patties.
Gradually mix in the beef broth and sherry.
Simmer and stir over med-high heat until gravy thickens, add water or more broth as needed.
Turn heat to low and return patties to the gravy and onion mixture, cover and simmer until patties have re-warmed,about 20 min.
Enjoy
