Oven Baked Brisket
Slightly trim fat from brisket, rinse and pat dry with paper towels.
Liberally use your favorite Rub all over brisket.
Use plastic wrap to seal and place in refrigerator as long as possible.
About 1 hour before cooking; remove from refrigerator to get to room temperature.
Place brisket in oven container.
Add liberal amount of BBQ sauce to cover brisket (foil will work).
If you want, add about 10 drops of liquid smoke, & 1/2 cup of apple juice.
Cook covered at 200 for 7-8 hours.
Let brisket cool a little and slice across the grain.
Alternative cooking method:
Cook for 6 1/2 hours covered; drain juice, cook an additional hour uncovered.
