Microwaved broccoli is a simple, colorful and nutritious side-dish. In my opinion, it's one of the few dishes that tastes just as good when steamed in the microwave! I bet you don't need a recipe for this common side-dish, and that's OK! Simply posting here to make it easy to recipe-link later to other dishes.
Rinse broccoli and cut into florets.
Place in a microwave-safe casserole-style dish with a closeable lid. Place a quarter to a half-inch of water in the bottom.
Cover. Place in microwave on high for four minutes. Be careful removing it -- watch for steam! Serve with butter, salt and pepper (optional).
