• Dredge meat in flour
• Heat oil or fat, add meat and any extra flour. Sauté meat on all sides until browned
• Add onion, garlic, seasonings, and boiling water. Cover tightly and simmer for 90 minutes or until meat is tender.
- Add vegetables and continue cooking 15-30 minutes until vegetables are tender.
Note: if you wish to add other vegetables such as potatoes, peas, or green beans, increase the boiling water by two cups.
