Lay 6-8 slices bread in a 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle with ham and cheese cubes.
Lay 6-8 slices bread on top of ham & cheese. Beat eggs, add milk, dry mustard, and salt, and pour over casserole. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
Bring to room temperature and sprinkle with corn flakes. Pour margarine over all. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
Note: You can substitute other items for the ham and cheese such as crumbled sausage, broccoli florets, etc.
