Do the following and place in a bowl:
Finely chop basil
Squeeze of lemon
Taste, then add any spices to balance everything out.
Add chopped basil on top if there’s any left.
Slice your bread and brush 1st side with olive oil
Pan fry bread on medium until it looks right (1-2 min but can depend)
Brush 2nd side with olive oil
Flip and begin frying 2nd side
Sprinkle kosher salt on 1st side
Once 2nd side is cooked, sprinkle with kosher salt
Depending on how big your bread is, slice in half or in 3 triangles l\/l
Either serve separately and allow diners to add mixture to bread themselves or do it for them prior to service. If you do it for them, sprinkle a little basil on top prior to service.
